The Two Doors — The Number Registry
EVERY PRINT IS NUMBERED. NO TWO ARE ALIKE.
Every print of The Two Doors carries its own number, carved right into the stone of the picture itself — cut into the rock with the rest of the lettering, weathered with the building, part of the artwork from the day it is made. It is not stamped on the back and it is not printed on a label. It is in the stone, where anyone who sees the picture can find it.
The series never closes. The series opened with Original No. 1, and the count keeps going from there — every new print takes the next number in line. Owners trade numbers the way neighbors trade names: “What number are you?” This page is the roll of the series — every number, and the family name that rides with it, kept here in the open.
THE ROLL
| Number | On the roll |
|---|---|
| 0000001 | THE WILDERS — Original No. 1 |
| 0000316 | CASEY WILDER — John 3:16 — TAKEN (reserved) |
Every print joins the roll in order as it is made. When your print is finished, your number and your family name take their place here.
THE BIBLE NUMBERS
Some numbers carry a verse the whole world knows by heart. 316 — John 3:16. And its whole family right behind it: 1316, 2316, 4316, and on. Mark 4. And more, all through the Book. Those are the Bible Numbers of this series — the premium numbers, the ones people ask for by name.
While a Bible Number is still unclaimed, you can choose it for your print instead of taking the next number in line. Claim it when you order: pick your size, give us your family name and your couple, and tell us the Bible Number you want. When your print is made, that number is carved into its stone — and your name is entered on this roll beside it, for everyone to see.
A Bible Number belongs to one print and one family, once. When it is claimed, it is claimed — and the roll above shows it.
